Street Pop Industry is project that is produced by 982 Street Production, a company that is run by youth who are currently undergoing a mentorship programme in Art Management with Jo’burg Concerts, producers of both Soweto & Polokwane Arts Festivals and managers of Dr. Malombo – Phillip Tabane.

Street pop was formed in 2004 and encompasses Live Music Events; which are a platform for both heraldic & mainstream artists to expose their talents to the public and the industry at large, Fashion; by emerging clothing labels and we currently produce & sell Str Pop clothing, African Film Screenings; we also promote and screen movies around communities we reside from, Artists management; through all the years in business the production provides artists management for number of artists and we now formed a group called Str. Population, a collaboration of various artists. Street Pop has become a house hold name within the S.A entertainment industry and it aims to:
· Promote a culture of professionalism amongst emerging businesses that are run by the youth, help identify and assist with the development of artistic and creative talent found with growth potential.
· Build an audience for Arts & Culture.
· Promote usage of community halls for arts activities.
· Encourage youth to take up Arts Management as chosen career.
· Merge with the international standards and still keep our local content by using our country’s diverse cultural wealth.

Create an establishment that provides opportunities to the youths, by empowering them with skills that they require to build a strong creative industry and boost the South African economy.
